Children, Youth, Young Adult....

As far as this topic is concerned, Khalil's Gibran's Poem -  On Children should be the Universal Holy Script-

"Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable."

Why do most/ all religious scripts make parents rather than the purity of children analogous to god?

We've been conditioned with - "obey parents/ don't hurt parents/ respect parents/ paradise lies under the feet of your mother/ father's plea
Assured is god's pleasure and father's displeasure is god's displeasure/ parents are like gods, etc"

WHY aren't these scripts ALSO describing how the child's innocence and purity is godly/ divine/ Glorious/ Heavenly/ etc?

This imbalance creates confusion in many children, regardless their physical ages since they are expected to show traits which they sometimes don't understand via not experiencing via receiving.

Let’s consider respect. Often times, children's opinions are dismissed as insignificant whilst generally their parents' opinions are considered as right without freedom to be questioned.

When children eventually evolve out of their status quo nests, many of us realize MANY other options DO exist, apart from the lists of right and wrong we were programmed to believe and some of what we were conditioned may not work for our growth and evolution any more.

How much is our species missing out without respecting children and the youth?

More often, I feel divinity in the pure innocence of children's eyes rather than in dogmatic pseudo-religious adults who view our Humanity with judgmental dualistic divisions.

The worst thing is that they are often punished for being true, authentic, virtuous while the parents VICES are rewarded, often justified by religious beliefs!

Main reason being the institutes of religions were never designed by young children ^__* That's the way programming works. Religion (I really hate that word) is not really about god and the divine spark of life. It's about conditioning civilization...

In religion age is respected, not merit - hence change and modernity is kept at bay by indoctrination.
When religions in general disregard women, of course they are also going to disregard their children. It is just logical, albeit sick.

Of course we will see divinity in the eyes of the innocence children more than in the eyes of the fearful adults. Unless we are blind to our ignorance, if we cannot see god in all, we will not see god at all.

Even if one removes religion, children are not allowed to be who they are. They just need to enjoy their innocence and splendour of being themselves self.

Why oh why does this happen???

All religions have failed to unite like the way children of all races when they are at a preschool.

Until their corrupted parents ingrain their identity in the form of religion.

Religion by default is a cult practice and so should be banned from child grooming.

Let the children first learn one thing they know to express innocent love to each other and then as he or she grows up and seeks answers which they can find maybe in religious texts get exposed to one, we need creative minds and not draconian hate ideologies to continuously get better.

Challenge the boundaries of creative daring out of the box thinking!!!!!
Religion is a braking system. Get rid of those lies which bring you peace at the cost of being stupid.

From a simplistic viewpoint most people (parents, teachers, prophets included) do not have an inkling of the Eternal and the Infinite and the Unfathomable Reality and are able to see everything from a space limited, time limited and human, self preservation and human attribute laden viewpoint and thus this path of behavioural pattern, I guess.
