This thing call 'love' is it really free????

"But let there be spaces in your togetherness and let the winds of the Heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls." - Kahlil Gibran

Is Love free, unconditional Love??? Unconditional love is verrry rare on this planet, especially when it comes to human being.

Some say, love is something that is given & never taken. We get and feel what we give; we give what we create within. Love has no condition, acceptance is the gatekeeper. Love has a universal passport. It’s your border policy.

One of those "easier said than done" clichés eh? ;) So often we speak of unconditional Love yet, so often we overlook how almost every relationship has an expectation which makes the bond conditional after all.

Many times expectations make love to be unfree ... the same we can apply for happiness.
And of course it amuses me to see how many adults expect gifts on Valentine's Day. Sighhhh.... Measuring Love? Silly!

Do I love a man, my children, family or friends and HOPE they will love me as much? YES. Do I EXPECT them to love me with the same measure of intensity- NO.
Expectations lead to disappointments, hurt and pain and diminish pure love. The only expectations I have are those I place on myself. You must love yourself first and all else will come to you by the grace of God.

I do believe the ONLY true love that is unconditional is towards our children! For me, I LOVE my child without expectation, without guard, without heart ache so to me this is REAL love in every way! :) Just my two cents..

Do you identify yourself via ethnicity?

Isn't this identification at the physical plane alone?
Does the Spirit limit itself to Ethnicity?
Does any Soul attach to any labels?

Ethnicity and culture are different things. There can be people from the same ethnicity raised in different cultures.

The world is getting smaller and smaller on a Global scale WE Should ALL Just Be a Rainbow and Be Able to LIVE & LOVE and ACCEPT ACKNOWLEDGE HAVE OPEN DIALOGUE CONVERSATION SHARING CARING GIVING GIFTING ON A HEART LEVEL.

Because I love it, embrace it and it is very much how I indentify myself. On the other hand, I feel that every tradition/ethnicity is unique and worthy of just as much love as I have of mine. I am not exclusive. I'm totally inclusive. Celebrating differences, however, doesn't mean ignoring them or erasing them. It means enjoying and learning from them.

Transmission and understanding emotions don't need the barriers of labels of ethnicity, languages...etc...Frequency and compatibility between the species makes a world of a difference.

My ethnicity enhances my life; it doesn't keep me apart from others. In fact, I rarely have that much commonality with others of my ethnicity because I do think so universally, but it is who I am and I love that and connect strongly with it.
To do otherwise would be to ask the African American descendents of slaves to forget his/her history or an Italian Catholic to forget his traditions.
That's what ethnicity is: your traditions, heritage and history that inform how you see the world. It's individual and group/social. It need not be a divider.
That's the nice thing about being human, we can if we open ourselves to it, share, enjoy, embrace and integrate with other ethnicities and while we do, we create something new--in a few more generations, will look very different from our originate forefathers.

The more we melt together the less it can separate us. I think it often shapes our experiences, so it is important in this respect. Sometimes the culture that goes along with various ethnicities can cause barriers keeping us apart out of fear or discomfort with differences. Ultimately, I think we are more alike than different. Really, our ethnicity is just like the wardrobe or costume our soul is wearing in this lifetime, I think.

All physical aspects are only Earth suits for the Immortal Soul. :)
Instead of an emphasis on Diversity & celebrating our differences, I wish we could emphasize Unity and celebrating/recognizing our likenesses, similarities as a human race.
I think my ethnicity or my body is a vessel or the wrapping I am travelling in...Like the vehicle you ride in...Influences my experience & interactions, but it is not who I am. I am something more eternal than my body or ethnicity.

I sometime view ethnicity as a result of climactic differences. While it is also true that humans have domesticated themselves with technology/culture/rules which I think has an effect on genetics over time it cannot be disputed that various climates ruled our lives and verily out genes for the longest period of time.
There are going to be differences via various selection processes and thus you could say certain ethnicities have more tendencies toward certain traits. It is also true that humans are still very homogeneous and now that we are much more interconnected worldwide the gap will likely close even more as to what those specific differences might be.

Alas the individual is the most practical and more important to emphasize than a sense of generalized and subtle difference which can be called race or ethnicity.
We are all one in essence, but that does not mean we're all the same human being! We are all unique and I'm happy for that. That is also our challenge. Pretending we're all identical does not make us so. I’m glad my soul is wearing this person this lifetime.

But, no, souls do not have religion. But, again, we have to distinguish between what is universal and what is individual. And what ethnicity is, is part of the individuality of an individual--part of the uniqueness of that person. Sometimes that carried through to other lifetimes, but, ultimately, we meet the whole naked of all such labels, for sure.
Indeed the environment affects are genetics over an extended period of time as we adapt and use or not use certain characteristics based on needs for survival.

To hold on to some identity just so you can belong to some group creates all the wars we are not anything that can be named we all know that don’t we?
And even within one ethnicity there are still little differences like spirituality, tribes, clans, political beliefs, etc...All of those differences that often divide us or result in our alliance with a specific group.
No, barriers of so called religion as men favourite word don’t play a role in understanding emotions in my opinion.
else how would we find so many people loving each other irrespective of being from different levels of spirituals act...well being from the same faith might help you to understand each other but that would not give an edge to the person over understanding human sentiments...unless one is emotionally capable of doing so.
Yes it does serve a purpose of barrier only if we emphasize on the differences...if collectively concentrating on the common points...this barrier can be abolished.
It's good to know your roots but do not let it get on the way to respecting others! I would keep it at that!

Perhaps the different ethnicities in the world are there for us to transcend them. They do not cause the problem. What cause wars are the narrow minded/hearted people who use religions (@_@ again, I hate that word) and ethnicities as clubs to beat each other with?
Discord in the world is not about the differences. It's about power. And people who crave power will use anything at their disposal to cause division among people in order to gain power.
There isn't a country in the world where this doesn't happen. Pretending everyone looks, feels, acts the same will not change that.
Inside, yes, we're all the same. But outside it's inspiring just how creative and innovative humans are to create such diversity of cultures, traditions beliefs.
That's what celebrating them is about. Not ignoring or rejecting them. It's relishing those differences.
When we find our soul mates they are not identical copies of ourselves. We love them for our commonality, but also for our differences.

My husband and I am not the same person. And sometimes, although rarely, we disagree we each have strengths and weaknesses that compliment the other. So too with ethnicities.
I've always considered it an awesome thing to have grown up around people with different "ethnicities"... probably why I still don't really understand racism... Better to feel the similarities than to focus on differences, I think.

Life

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.

 Life is beauty, admire it.

Life is a dream, realize it.

Life is a challenge, meet it.

Life is a duty, complete it.

Life is a game, play it.

Life is a promise, fulfill it.

 Life is sorrow, overcome it.

Life is a song, sing it.

Life is a struggle, accept it.

Life is a tragedy, confront it.

Life is an adventure, dare it.

 Life is luck, make it.

Life is too precious, do not destroy it.

Life is life, fight for it.

Worry, worried????

Worry is the misuse of imagination! There is nothing to worry about except worry itself.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, unwrap it in this present moment... Imagine peace often...

I have stopped worrying about tomorrow for a very long time. When you worry about tomorrow you cannot know that you are having a jolly good time right now. Worry robs the present moment of its awesomeness. But hey, do you know that a prune is a plumb that someone taught to worry?

I can only control One Second at a time in my life; Tomorrow has no power until it gets here..

'sanga haal de' (how are you)

If you cannot accept that you are co-creating all of the conditions, circumstances, and events of your life, at least accept that you are creating your experience of them.
No one else can tell you how to feel about anything. Surely that is undeniable.

Perfection is the obstacle of creation and the enemy of achievement. At some point it may serve you to decide that a particular project or undertaking is complete.
Seeking excellence is one thing; never finding anything totally satisfactory is another

Is it because nothing, including the self, is never 'good enough'? No matter how wonderful it may seem.
One immediate example that comes to mind is the late Michael Jackson; he -was- so incredibly gifted but found demise in his tragic need to seek perfection, at any cost...

I agree that seeking excellence is a good thing, but finding satisfaction in whom and what I am is imperative. I struggle with this as well...especially where it involves artistic creativity.

As artists, they are never satisfied; they always think they could do better. I look sometimes at paintings I've done and people say it's amazing what I do, and I just say "What? I did nothing special" I thinks is kind of both, but mostly the searching for perfection.
But also we are never satisfied with the way we put our ideas and feelings in the world.

Sometimes beating others is about satisfying the ego and not facing our own internal fears and conflicts.

In a strong relationship, both people motivate each other to go further in life.
Every relationship brings various attachments which inevitably limits our freedom with masks of responsibility and commitment.

Unless the bond is between consciously evolving beings, growing in similar directions- supporting each other in synergism, allowing healthy spaces to grow Free.

Isn't it an amazing phenomenon how different Beings can bring out different sides in us?

Containing the essence of all, we go forward to being a complete human being. Being different is very tough itself but I know how to live a King’s Life ^___*

Duality is the cause of Human suffering???

Well, duality can be used as a tool for learning, only after being recognized. Until recognition it is often a cause of suffering since it creates many separations often which are illusions.

Try considering the extreme scenario of a battlefield. One can only intentionally harm another being when we consider them as the enemy right?

If we understood that the enemy is no different to our Self, then can we still intentionally harm them? Probably not....

The whole perspective of us vs. them has caused much pain within humanity...

Yet sometimes it feels we have to accommodate some personalities, I guess this comes down to our reflective natures, and is something I have always been aware of with myself and most notably with friends and even family.

As I have slowly matured I have learnt just to be myself and feeling happy, loving, comfortable wearing my own skin.

This is most important for us all and teaches us within not to create false persona(s) for different types of identities or people.

And duality is most likely the cause of much psychological illnesses and even insanity with not only individual but also on a much broader social scale I believe.

The pathological case would be multiplexor split personalities. What I imply is the phenomena were we are able to open up different sides of ourselves more easily with some individuals than the other.

For eg- with traditionalists it wouldn't be a good idea to openly discuss New Age Oneness, unless one was feeling a little rebellious, yet in some places that would not be a good idea.

There is also safety to be ensured. What I find interesting is more on a lighter note. How we instantly connect with some individuals based on the similarity of our curiosities.
I've noticed this. A good example would be when I find myself conversing with a fellow intellectual, the mental stimulation naturally inclines me to open my mind up more and make good for conversation.

Like mindedness is a beautiful vibration to experience and can only be achieved with very open minds really, if minds are closed the walls come up. But, when Hearts open, walls dissolve...

Remember what Rumi said;-
“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”

‎”We're a million different people from one day to the next" Richard Ashcroft from The Verve

One of my favourite songs ever! The Song is of the album "Keys to the world"

Habit or repetition??

Can you do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result......That is insanity.

I've done my part my sharing my experience and prospective. Sometimes I'm more passionate about that person’s well-being and that's not good, for them or me.

That reminded me of the conception of insanity being a revolving door.
Doing the same thing results in the same thing.
I know regarding myself it took many years to understand, and many addictions to overcome.
But it is entirely up to the individual to do it, and change it.
A horse can be lead to water, but can't be forced to drink. The forest can only be seen for the trees when one opens their own eyes and sees them for themselves.

Some individuals will learn certain lessons through several repetitions of the same challenge. Sometimes it takes several years. We can share our experiences and perspectives, yet it is not our responsibility to compel others to learn any sooner.

Look at the flower in the garden; it shall not bloom or a caterpillar metamorphic into a butterfly until they are ready.

So, decide. Nobody except your self can stop you. You can either be your own best friend or you worst enemy. It is entirely depend on your mind's volition.
