A few bits about smiling....with attitude ^__*

--do what we love at least once a day no matter who says what about shit.

--ignore it if it sucks. See which outlasts which.

--winner cannot exist without loser, and vice versa. Each defines other.

--a champion only given that pool of opponents. Not necessarily an actual accomplishment or victory.

--perhaps there is no such thing as competition. Perhaps there is simply umpire less carnivals.

--who umps the umps and who umps them?

--any ball game is a physics experiment under way. Results are dependent upon whether one is scoring the players, teams or just the ball.

Cheer for the ball. Ball both wins and losses for both teams simultaneously and is thus a superior athlete.

--we are burned and we are died.

In between, we did what they told us to and we did what we told us to.

--takes at least two.

--profusely asking why?

And who says?

--smiling is like a toothbrush.

Physically changes the funk and freshens up the breath.

--it's not okay to have fun when other people are suffering. Everyone should sit down and be quiet until everyone is okay with losing everything.

--advertising is God.

Want to read a good holy book?
Check out Idiot's Guide to Marketing.

--artefacts are barely worth saving given someone else has to move them around after we're dead. It’s like acquiring stuff is how we give our family homework.

--we save it because we think it'll have value to someone else.

'Here. Take this. I saved it for you.'
'Shit. What if I don't want it?'
'No. you have to take it. I saved it for you.'
 'Sigh. Damn.'

--it's like giving each other things is how we invade each other's territory...like we're playing risk and the more of our shit we get into someone else's house, the wider our subtle territorial reach.

--who's got the thing we gave away that they better still have or else?

--can we imagine if virginity was applied to aging?

We’d all be cherries popping seconds like first timers.
Tick...POP! Tock...POP! Tick...POP! Tock...POP!

--nothing we have ever thought was really worth any money. Not if we're actually thinking.

--'here. Believe this.'

'nah. I don't want to.'
'No. you have to. I say so.'
'No. thanks though.'
'Sigh. You’re going to suffer if you don't believe this.'
'nah'. I won't.'
'Yes, you will. I say so.'
'No. thanks though. Have a good one.'

--communicating depends on verification of meaning.

Bizarrely, miscommunication is independent of meaning.

--it is possible to say a sentence in one context that would really work in another different one, but not that one.

--examples are toy guns on a live battlefield made of mines and mortars.

--nature is not an example.

It’s a live show.

--a smile smiling smiles in a smiley way.

--smile just long enough to feel it.

Then hide it until it is needed.

Characterize people by their actions, and you will never be fooled by their words....

Always put more importance on what people do, instead of what they say.

Many people have the habit of talking the talk, but have a hard time walking the walk. Others are proficient when it comes to presenting a good image, but it is simply facade.

They say all the right things, are carefully never to offend, and essentially create a false front for everyone to see.
But if you carefully watch their actions, you will see that their words are hollow.

Never be fooled by words; always look at the whole package.

If you pay close attention, you will be able to see the true character of those around you. And, if you sit back and let them talk enough, most of the time, they will eventually let their true character slip out through their words as well.

You should make sure that you don't fit into that category.

Your words,
actions, and
thoughts should all be in harmony.

Be the person that you want others to think you are.
Be sincere.
Be who you really are, and make who you really are a person of honour and integrity.

Don't say one thing and do another.

If the whole world rejected you and you didn't believe any of your thoughts about it, you'd be completely at peace.

Learning to master inner-calm and non-response to what seems like negativity is a life practice. When you release yourself from the need for approval and control you can stop punishing yourself and others.
The fulcrum of resistance is in your mind where you pit yourself against the weight of the external.

Release yourself from the contest.

No one can make you feel anything;
you are completely responsible for how you feel.
Until you quit loving your pain, loving your abuse and loving the contest, you will always be a part of other people's games of torment and inner-suffering.

Next time someone comes after you, ask yourself in that moment,
"who am I, and who do I choose to be?"

Imagine a small calm pool of water inside of yourself. Keep the pool still and serene. Don't let the water slosh out onto the floor.
Look upon the troubled waters of the other person, and simply have understanding nothing more.

In your serenity there is a clarity, strength and correctness that is beyond the petty scuffles of the moment a greater truth.

It is the truth of who you are; beautiful, calm, secure, open, willing and safe.

If the whole world rejected you and you didn't believe any of your thoughts about it, you'd be completely at peace....

What we get when we don't want to tell other people what to do is more room to see what we do when we don't wait for anyone else to change. It is a form of self-love, not wanting to tell anyone else how to live life. It's a free gift we can only lose one way.

All this talk about getting enlightened or waking up.
What exactly are you "getting" or "waking" from?
Are you lacking something?
And if so, how do you find it or who gives it to you?
What do you imagine it will be like after you "get it"?
Will you spend your life trying to help other people "get it" or will you just move to the mountains and keep "it" to yourself?
And how will you feel about those who just don't "get it"?
Again I ask, exactly what do you think you are missing and how or from whom are you going to get "it"?

One of the most insidious mental blocks to our sense of happiness and well being is the persistent and universal existential perception that something is fundamentally wrong with us.
That we are separate.
That we lack something essential.
When this underlying assumption is successfully challenged, many other perceived "problems" begin to drop away or at least lose some of their urgency.

 It is the experience,
it is the last host of peak of all that is beautiful,
of all that is immortal,
of all that is blissful, and
it is the finest definition of your being.
Beyond that when transcended no experience, no experience, no enlightenment, everything is left behind and it is the entry in to womb of infinite nothingness from where all existence have come and you are part of it.....
until then one are never satisfied...
.feeling comes of lacking something......
or finding the best in everything.... the very idea that keeps the game of "searching for what has never been missing" going strong.

Deep inside feeling of missing is creator of searching it is the game of ego......

People get caught up with terminology and perceptions of what "enlightenment/waking up" is;
I awoke realizing that it was not necessary.
My life journey might simply be to overcome my own self made addictions/obsessions and be the best person//friend in this moment of time.

Many who are, for the most part, finished with their seeking are still seeking a good name - - to be held in high esteem, I find.

Question can only come when answers are there....

People do not seek change until something just does 'work;' any more.
Most of us won't change until the fear of changing is less than the pain of staying the same.

It's just ego dressed as spiritual talk - he's awake, she's a sleep, I'm awake, you're asleep belief system, add a conspiracy theory or ten and you have the new version of what is considered spiritual these days.

It’s just no different than what they're protesting about really.

After a lifetime of being taught that selfishness is a sin, you turn around and discover that it is, by far, the healthiest way to live, and by healthiest,
I mean that, in my selfishness, I'm finally actually available to see others, love others, and offer myself.
It's all the false generosity and false altruism and the faking of
'I'm here to serve you'
that walls us off from each other.

Healthy portions of selfishness are what tears down the walls.

What does failure mean to you?

Does it really mean you failed?

You can only fail if you give up for good.

Failure is simply a lesson of what not to do.

And you’ll never fail if you did not try.

Successful people fail more than anyone else on this planet, but what separates successful people and people who give upon life is we don't settle.

We keep going.

Failure after failure we keep the same enthusiasm and we believe in what we are doing and what we are dedicating our life to achieve.

You were put on this earth with a higher purpose and you were meant to do great things and you're doing yourself and others a disservice by giving up.

I owe all of my success to my failures.

Failure is simply a whisper in your ear telling you that you're heading in the wrong direction and you just need to adjust the course.

Thomas Edison failed over 10,000 times, but he didn't look at it as failure. He said he just found 10,000 ways that didn't work.

Many peoples hopes, their dreams and their aspirations are never acted upon because they let one failure stop them.

If you don't learn now to face your fears and push you through failures, you will end up building someone else's dreams until the day you die.

Everyday there is 86,400 seconds in a day and it's up to you how you use that time.

I hope you realize you will not leave this earth alive I promise you that.
So what's stopping you?

Why are you letting fear stop you?

Why are you so afraid to fail? If you fail, you’ll be back up, that’s how it always goes…

Why are you wasting your potential?

It's time to master yourself, it's time to give your dreams and goals everything you have inside you and it's time to let the leader inside of you shine.

It's your year, now cease it!!!!!!!!

What if.....?

What if we all walked around naked?
So that our similarities and vulnerability wouldn't be hidden.

I often wonder how different the world would be if we all walked around naked.

I realize that in contemporary society this isn’t a plausible idea as for some it wouldn't be convenient or safe for daily life.
But I imagine we would treat people a lot differently if we all walked around naked as most of us would be crippled with insecurity.

I believe the ego would almost immediately evaporate or conversely, go into an extreme over active state and then quickly return to a permanent dormant state.
Eventually however I think we would all show a lot more respect to one another, especially the elderly, I think it would be hard not to help an elderly person if you could see an aged body in such a vulnerable state.

We would have a very different idea of what would be considered a good day.

It is said in Genesis that Adam and Eve were no longer allowed to dwell in 'paradise' when they 'ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.'
This parable reflects humanities fall from grace, long ago when we gained self awareness and awoke as if into an alien universe.
This is the true catalyst for Adam and Eve becoming 'self conscious' and suddenly needing fig leaves, we evolved the ability to think, to judge, and as more and more content entered the mind we came to permanently inhabit the realm of thought.

We fell victim to the illusion of separation.
We came to see a false self and subsequently feel the need to protect that self.

Now imagine the threat the illusory sense of self would feel if we were all stripped of our clothing, if we were forced into such a drastic change, from the way we usually perceive ourselves, and then a shift would occur, whether it would be a diminished of ego or intensification of it who knows.

Clothing, now days, is becoming all about status, all about the brand, to some it would seem downright insane to spend your days naked.

To others, clothing is seen for what it is a thin veil of protection, a veil of enhancement that, through identification with our aesthetics, can provide a false sense of confidence, security and status.

Indeed I believe, primarily with younger people, that judgement of another's choice of clothing is one of the main ways in which the ego enhances itself and inflates its feeling of superiority or inferiority, either way, the ego feels separate.

Clothing aids you in seeing separation, everyday any number of us will make subconscious assumptions about another bases on their appearance.

Usually these judgements have to do with what is wrong with the other, which of course is only the ego reacting to a projection of itself.
What you react too strongly in another also resonates within you.
Learning and living this truth will lead to an intensely personal transformation.
Everything you dislike about others can lead you to a deeper understanding of yourself.

You can change your views, opinions, ideas, and beliefs....

"Changing yourself takes time; it is incremental and can seem like hypocrisy to judging observers. While developing you you may reverse opinions, contradict yourself and seem inconsistent with your beliefs and actions.
Don't allow people to control you with the consistency trap. Consistency has been weapon.
Don't let consistency be used against your holistic being and full-spectrum intelligence.

You are not illogical.
You are not stupid.

Being 'smart' is a total spectrum of behaviours; it is about balance not just intellect.

Your opinions matter and you can even change them! You can say things that are completely wrong and still be a part of a legitimate dialogue.

You can do things that are completely wrong and still be a part of a legitimate evolution.
You are an amorphous being and can change your views, opinions, ideas, and beliefs at will and as frequently as you desire.
You are allowed to be inconsistent, contradictory and unbound by conventions such as sanity, intelligence or making sense.

When you reserve the right to total contradiction, you reserve the self-acceptance to be human.

"In every or any situation, regardless of the mitigating factors, you can always change your mind. If what you are thinking, saying or doing in response to any person or experience is not bringing you peace, change your mind! Changing your mind about anything or anyone transforms how those things or persons impact your life."
— Iyanla Vanzant

Accepting a person who is not consistent is difficult because it means you cannot depend on them to have unchanging values and ideas, which is another way of saying you cannot "understand" them.

People often want to "understand" others to "know their place" for strategic self-positioning, which is ultimately about control and safeguarding their advantage.
If you make a big life-change it may literally shatter those around you because they can only accept and "love" you "their way."
They may judge you as unstable, but really they are unstable, which is why they may fall-apart as you move forward. It is really their illusion of knowing and control that has ended.

The inconsistent person is free, and freedom is really what people fear most.

Who says you have to be the same person tomorrow that you are today?
It is a ridiculous notion.
Change is inevitable.

Your personal and spiritual evolution will always be seen as a betrayal by those whose values you abandon.
You have a right to change your values, beliefs and ideas.
The discomfort you feel when you attempt to change is just the social control that surrounds you becoming more obvious and bearing down on you.
There is nothing more spiritual than freedom and it is very spiritual to violate old beliefs for new values.

"Forgive the past. It is over. Learn from it and let go. People are constantly changing and growing. Do not cling to a limited, disconnected, negative image of a person in the past. See that person now. Your relationship is always alive and changing."
— Brian L. Weiss

Remember.
We so easily sling judgements on others, yet we don't want judgements levied against us when we change our ideals.
Everyone just wants acceptance.
Accepting others is really about accepting yourself, because when you accept others you are freed from your own inner-conflict.
When you quit judging others you can be your true-self, rather than being emotionally embroiled with other people's lifestyles and beliefs.

Your spiritual journey is about freedom, but not just your freedom everyone's freedom."
