Know your convictions

We make judgment throughout each day, often without considering where our assumptions come from and whether they are grounded in fact or not.

It takes more work to examine our principles and honestly assess our beliefs, but it's much more satisfying. Breaking free from autopilot, we can question our own ideas and release ourselves to adjust and grow.

I am trying to developed well-grounded principles and my own life philosophy. I will test my thoughts and assumptions to make sure they are valid, then take a solid stand on these convictions.

We should know what our convictions are, and stand for them. Upon one's own philosophy, conscious or unconscious, depends one's ultimate interpretation of facts. Therefore it is wise to be as clear as possible about one's subjective principles. As the human beings are, so will be our ultimate truth.
