I believe in my values and my rules, but never lord them over
others.
Nothing should stand between you
and God, not imams, or priests, or rabbis, or any other custodians of moral or
religious leadership not even spiritual masters.
Stay away from all sorts of
idolatry, for they will blur your vision.
Let God and only God be your guide.
Learn the Truth, my friend, but be careful not to make a fetish out of your
truths.
Nothing stands between us and God and nothing stands between
God and us.
Often the problem in aspiring to spiritual progress is the flawed
intermediary.
Stand alone amongst others...stay true to yourself...recognise
when others are trying to steal your soul and gently move away.
And how often do we see doctrine get in the way of the
relationship with the God within.
I have watched with sadness as we beat each other up - for
believing, for not believing, for not believing enough or for believing in the
wrong God - as we stand on our high horses and preach equality, human rights
and love!
Life is a learning process, be aware of our own prejudices
and disrespectful behaviour towards others!
