You always have to look closely to get at the truth. Do be fooled by first appearances; look deeper!
Then you will be able to see what others don't perceive and what many try to hide.
Never be too trusting or too eager to accept things at face value.
Always look beneath.
There is usually more to be seen than first meets the eye...like in this picture.
I think many times people childishly accept things at face value for the sake of expediency.
There is also the idea of accepting others at face value, but if you observe the subtleties the truth of the matter always manifests itself.
People are too busy to slow down and take the time to really investigate things, and this can come back to really hurt them.
The truth of the matter may manifest itself, but the falsehood can do a lot of damage before this happens.
