In any challenging situation, we need to think through
exactly what we want to see happen as the consequence of our efforts.
What do we want to accomplish?
What's the ultimate goal?
To be able to answer such questions requires self-knowledge,
one of the most difficult things for most of us to attain.
And yet it's the prerequisite for any rational road to
success.
I believe in focusing on a solution that is best for
everyone and not having a goal that only fits one person in any given problem.
Goals should be for the greater good of all and not just for one group.
Everyone sacrifices something to get something in every 'good deal'. Life is
not a fairy tale.
Happiness or getting rid of sadness is the ultimate goal of
each and every of our actions. We are searching happiness in objects, people,
work, etc but never in the subject!
People reach for all sorts of goals outside of themselves,
and it feeds blame and resentment. It is so much easiest to just enjoy the
seconds.
