It is the beginning of everything you want in
Life. Develop it, practice it; from both your heart and your mind. It's one of
the keys that can lead us everywhere in life.
Discipline can be self-control to influence an outcome; it
can also be to release all control of the situation, and choose your response. Even
discipline screams for an opposite to make a balance.
This is Responsibility; the ability to respond consciously,
not just react impulsively based on an old pattern or belief system.
Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that
space is our power to choose our response. In our response lay our growth and
our freedom.
Discipline practiced with joy will create the fastest avenue
for success there is. We often think of discipline with negative connotations
but its definition really meant to practice a habit that roots out unnecessary
and self defeating behaviour, but it’s the joy that creates the success....!!!
Ask why. Develop the why. Once the why is strong enough, the
how will naturally present itself.
If you can't build the why strong, it's just not that
important to you; the negative consequences do not yet create enough suffering
for you to choose change, and you are unable to believe clearly enough the
positive benefits of making the change.
It's all about the ‘why’.
The WHY is EVERYTHING, difficult to see when clouded by emotion
and patience is crucial, it clears the path, settles the ego.
When you do good, you feel good. When you do bad, you feel
bad. Could it be that simple?
Sometime you believe that you are doing good, but when you
feel bad, then you realise that you are in a wrong way......!!!
This shows awareness and allows you to make a new choice. If
you felt bad, you were probably trying to please someone else, and did not get
the expected external response. Because if you do something that you know is
good for you, it feels good. It is that simple.
We don’t have please everyone around us or seeking approval
for that matter....just do what we can with what resources we have and move on.
This is life...there is too many things waiting for us to do...we don't have
time to please everyone around us.
