If you tell the truth, it becomes a part of your past. But, if you lie, it becomes a part of your future.

Lies have a way of coming back to bite you. Many times, they develop a life of their own and spin out of control, taking you down in the process.
I have little use for lies. In fact, he or she has no use for lies, with one exception - if a lie is required as part of his duty.
Hold on!
Before you crucify me, let me explain.
An example of a lie being a part of the warrior's duty, would be if you have to lie to a predator to protect an innocent.
Say for example, you have been the victim of a home invasion and you managed to hide your young daughter before things got serious.
If this predator asked you if there was anyone else in the house, would your highest duty be to protect your daughter or be honest to this piece of garbage?
This is an example of a lie that is required as a part of your duty.
Other than cases like that, tell the truth. Most of the time, a lie is born out of the spineless pit of cowardice.
Think about it.
If you were afraid of something, a consequence of some kind, why would you lie about something?
The bottom line is that most lies are the words of a coward.
Don't be a coward.
Don't allow your words to come back to haunt you.
Be honest and tell the truth.
The person who is always truthful has nothing to worry about in the future, as far as his words and honour are concerned.
The truth is stable; lies are about as stable as 80 year old dynamite.
Be honest!
So for your sake please in future DO NOT do what you did to me to anyone of your so call 'friends'....
Honesty is the best policy.
Even if you are wrong, fess up, take the hit and move on Shipmate.
