Religion is an intellectual wasteland. They've become so
pious due to their greed and hopes of an afterlife in Heaven.
After all, what good does it do to live in
their bubble without the promise of a reward? In the end, it's all about
'getting something'.
All religions attract lost souls who don't have life skills
or are in some kind of emotional crisis.
Very few people wake up and think;
'I need philosophy.'
This is perfectly understandable. But of course, everyone has their own problems and are dealing with the difficulties of life in some way or another.
The irony is this is actually what ancient philosophy was intended to ameliorate.
The word "philosophy" literally means "love of wisdom.
