Yes, even though the quest was futile, it was not in vain.

All forms of seeking, whether religious, spiritual, materialistic, political, or fame-based, are the finite creations of a finite perspective - the ego.

As such, these "ego projects" are doomed to failure in that they can never achieve their ultimate and largely unconscious goals of controlling life, defeating death, and awakening the Seeker to Truth.

But it is the very futility of ego projects that are their greatest asset to those who come to the awareness that seeking is no longer needed.

In the face of the abject failure of our ego projects to provide what we believe we lack, need, and/or want, we have the opportunity to see that we have never lacked anything substantial or essential.

All that we seek has always been within. In other words, we ALWAYS ALREADY ARE that which we seek. In this way, the exhaustion of our ego project and the despair that follows can be a deep moment of grace and the beginning of wisdom.
In that moment, all seeking drops away forever and life appears in all its fullness and mystery.

In the meantime, seek with all your heart, mind, and soul. Kind of like Captain Kirk feeding a paradox to the computer in order to blow it up, thereby stopping the self-destruct sequence.

Someone Danced Among Us

Someone danced among us and then

left too soon causing empty

spaces where there was light and
laughter.

And so we talked among ourselves
and remembered how things were
when easy laughter bubbled up
in common space.

Is there a way to keep this sense
of lightness going and keep
dancing on our daily way.
I ask that question only to
hear the answer come to me
from deep within and this is
what I hear it say...
You are the way.

It's easy to believe our thoughts and base our feelings and behaviours on the misleading stories of fear and fortune the mind creates.
Only the truly wise and courageous follow their hearts, ignoring convention and consequences, in order to discover the meaning of life, love, and happiness.
Such heart people are like pirates of the soul, risking their lives for buried treasure.

Where does suffering go when we are not thinking about it?
For that matter, where does our sense of self go when we are not thinking about that?
They are not there.
This is not a trick or an example of denial.
It's a clue.
Aside from thought, there is no self and no suffering.
What we are is beyond or prior to thought.
We are that in which thought arises and passes away with its fantasies of self and suffering.

Knowledge is the mindful impetus of a suffering being. The movement of be to being, present and future, and space and time; all arise in the thought that we can creatively or conceptually know the unknown.
Thought is not truth because it changes, but it becomes the subjective reality upon which we place our sense of value.

We are beings of light, not just figuratively, but literally.
Our bodies, like all living things, emit light waves constantly.

This light interacts and becomes "entangled" permanently connected with every subatomic particle and atom it encounters throughout the universe.
We are all in constant communion and interaction with one another and with all things.

Aware Presence. That's it.
That's everything.
The whole shebang.
All else is the mind making up stories, which is Aware Presence too.
So there you have it.
Love and hate, good and evil, happiness and despair...it's all Aware Presence in disguise.
There is no escape.
And no problem.

If you are waiting for the world change, it begins with you. Life is a matter of perspective. Sometimes what we think we see, we really don't.

In the subtle peace of illusion sits the reality of all that is.
What is illusion?
Illusion is all that you see before you. It is your mind interacting with your soul to create a reflection. The reflection you see is the reality created by it.

People who are able to understand the soul connection are able to create the reflection that they want. Others who do not make this connection tend to view a reality created by outside manipulations.
These manipulations create a false sense of reality.
An illusion of reality that can be changed just by connecting with one’s own soul, but how does one connect with it?

The connection begins when one is willing to allow the connection to begin. I know this sounds very simple and it is.

The soul was not created to be hidden from us.
It was created to initiate the best reality before us. If you are seeing a reality of manipulation then it is time to seek guidance from your soul.

Many will not understand what I have written here, but the ones that are supposed to receive this message will. Understand that everyone has the ability to connect with their soul. It was bequest to you at your inception.

Over the years it has created many false illusions for me, and it was not until I allowed myself to make the connection that things began to change.

We are all in a process of evolution on a momentary basis. We continue to evolve moment by moment into the person we were meant to be. We seek guidance from outside sources, but never think to turn inward for the answers.

Why?
We were created to generate these answers. We were created with the ability to seek and find within ourselves, thus we create the reflection before us with the information we receive.
Now is the time for you to allow yourself access to one of Gods greatest gifts, the soul.

Create, reflect, be…

Your personal honour, or a sworn oath, which is more important????

To me they are one and the same, unless you have sworn an oath to something that you shouldn't have, in which case you have put yourself between a rock and a hard place.

A person who understands their own honour knows when to give an oath. They also know when that oath has been broken by the other party and is no longer binding.

Be moderate in all things.

Moderation is the key to balance. Epictetus taught,
“If one oversteps the bounds of moderation, the greatest pleasures cease to please.”
Everything in life can be taken to extremes.
There is basically no interest, hobby, or skill on this earth, which someone, somewhere don’t take to the extreme.
While it is not wrong to spend time and effort perfecting whatever you do, you must be careful not to do so at the expense of other important parts of your life.

Taking things to the extreme is the cause of many heartaches and regrets in this life.
A good example of this would be the man who spends all his time focused on his work, at the expense of his family life.
While he may become a gigantic success at work, his family life suffers for it and he may in fact find that he has sacrificed his marriage and his relationship with his children in order to spend so much time becoming a success at his job.
In essence, his life is out of balance, and eventually his unbalanced life will cost him dearly.

Epicurus taught us to,
“Be moderate in order to taste the joys of life in abundance.”
Moderation means that you intentionally limit yourself, you don’t go to extremes.
This do not mean that you never go all out and put your entire soul into something at times, but rather that you make sure that you balance these times in your life.
W. Somerset Maugham wrote,
“Excess on occasion is exhilarating. It prevents moderation from acquiring the deadening effect of a habit.”
Don’t get into a rut in living your life.

Living your life in the same monotonous way, day after day is not necessarily living a balanced life. In fact, this is dull and boring, and definitely not living life to the fullest.

You have to balance your daily routine with days that you break from routine and enjoy new things.
Albert Einstein stated,
“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.”

A dull, repetitive life is as out of balance as a life that is continually over active.
These are merely two extremes of living life.

He's the man had had changed the course of history... The death of Nelson Mandela is a sad loss to all peace loving people across the world. However, his legacy will live on forever!

( •_•)
\) (>
/ \ One of the most caring greatest men this world will ever see. Any man that can survive 27 years of wrongful imprisonment and come out positive, inspired, full of courage and without a shred of hate in his bones deserves a special place in history.

Don't be sad. Instead, celebrate his life, South African style. He is a bright example that we all so much need.
"Those who seek a voice will borrow his. Those who find themselves in darkness will use his words for light"

Today we mourn the loss of a great leader and beacon of hope, but his legacy lives on:

“Overcoming poverty is not a task of charity; it is an act of justice. Like slavery and apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings. Sometimes it falls on a generation to be great. You can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom.”

I remember the time when the world campaigned for your release and how I cried when you left prison.
I had the privilege of meeting him once. Was so overawed I could barely speak and stood staring.... I felt so much gratitude that he took the time to shake my hand, as I was about to flea the country to NZ then.

“…For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”

Words cannot describe the profound impact of this incredible man, a true inspiration and champion of peace. Thank you for your lifetime of service to humanity.

Mandela inspired all of us, through his own suffering and transformation to a man of peace, what patience and courage could achieve towards ending apartheid for his country and to the cause of racial equality throughout the world.

What a hard colourful life he went through, for what? Not for himself or his family but for his country and countrymen. He got the Africans to walk with their heads up and with pride.
How I wish others in power all over the world will learn from his life.

"When a man has done what he considers to be his duty to his people and his country, he can rest in peace. I believe I have made that effort and that is, therefore, why I will sleep for the eternity." - Nelson Mandela, 1918-2013.

FREE at last.... And so this world says goodbye to another great person.

A legacy exemplified by his quest of justice for all, void of revenge, or hate. Truly a beautiful soul.
May you rest in peace.
Thank you Madiba!  <3 p="">

There is a difference between a talk and talking.

A talk is scripted by the mind, centred on the fundamental intention to fill an absence.

This is felt as something like,
"Is this good enough yet?
Will they love me for this finally?"
This feeling is the gravity between personalities, the actor and the audience orbiting the same desire to be ultimately loved, which is like being ultimately happy.

The intention of a talk is to say something, though.

Talking, on the other hand, can be spontaneous. It is possible to meet at the edge of knowing what will be said and to remain curiously disinterested throughout.
To be still and silent enough so the stillness and silence can say something. It is the direct opposite in sensation to the feeling of filling an absence or trying to learn something new to know.
It is the sense of being absently present to nothing much at all.

Each mind-body is set on course, not independent of consciousness; merely an apparition of potential for something to have occurred maybe likes this.
This one goes to that talk. This one goes to this talk. That goes over there. This one goes over here. It's all set, like dominoes.

Everything is just the way it is and that way is filtered through each mind-body. The silt is not the water, the water is not the light, and the light is not the source.
Seek the source until the source is doubtless.

The mind-body seeks dependent happiness. Toys and objects, playthings, tasks, goals, measures...the things needed for the things to have happened like this script we wrote about it.

When we grow tired of this, we seek the source.
Only the source.
Nothing else.

We go into the nature of that we are directly.
We forget the universe.
We forget pain.
We forget pleasure.
We forget who gets to go with us.
We forget being loved.
We focus on nothing but the source of all that we have ever known. The source of all that we can possibly be.
Nothing else matters.
Only This.
Trust the memory we have of being independently happy and trust the silence.

Seek the source until the source is doubtless.
